Introducing FACT goods, a Startup Setting out to Find A Cure Today Through Sales of Positive, Inspirational Products

DENVER, Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Founded in November 2017 by Antonella Pisani, former VP of eCommerce at Fossil with prior leadership experience from JCPenney, Guitar Center and ProFlowers, FACT goods has launched with the mission of raising awareness & money for charities focused on research and otherwise trying to Find A Cure Today (FACT).

FACT goods designs & sells products that include messages of Strength, Hope, Power, Love and Faith – the things needed to overcome an illness or any personal battle.  The company believes that "cool designs can spark conversation and action on an everyday basis" and that "shirts with ribbons and other traditional awareness clothing tends to only be worn at 5Ks and in certain months."

"We need conversation and action every day, not just around certain events & awareness months," says Antonella.

Shoppers will also find that many of the messages are about encouraging others. One design includes words telling others to "Give Hope" and another tells those around them that, "You Are Stronger Than You Think."

"Someone I respect talked about this notion of Power Under people as opposed to Power Over people, and we wanted to incorporate that concept into some of our designs. In today's world of #MeToo, we think it's key to not only feel empowered, but also to help others to feel empowered, as well," said Antonella.

FACT goods donates 25% of their proceeds to charities focused on finding cures.  The focus ison smaller charities which don't receive as much attention as some of the larger ones, such as Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, BCRF, Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, The Michael J Fox Foundation, Cure Alzheimer's Fund and Autism Society.

The business was inspired by trials & tribulations faced by some of Antonella's friends.  One faced breast cancer at age 36, another survived an infection which left him paralyzed, and lastly, her closest friend recently came into remission after a battle with a rare form of lymphoma that had progressed to stage 4.  "A positive attitude and faith were key in their ability to overcome the challenges they faced," says Antonella.

FACT goods felt that they needed to bridge positivity with action and found a lot of the support shirts for those facing illnesses to be crass or tacky.  "There are a lot of references to f*** cancer and to chemo brain, but not a lot that you'd actually want to wear in public.  While we know it's natural to be mad about what's happening, most people don't actually want to wear something that features a curse word or tells the world that they're sick, so we took a different approach," says FACT goods' co-founder, Scott, a cancer survivor.

FACT goods' website ( launched features a collection of positive & inspirational t-shirts, tank tops, baseball caps and sweatshirts for men and women.  They are actively looking for brands, influencers and nonprofits to partner with.
