Mavatar CEO Ramps Up Blockchain Conversation
Bob Dylan so succinctly stated, “the times they are a-changin',” describing an era of upheaval and disruption. Today, technology is serving up a heaping helping of change; from the cloud enabling a new generation in engagement tools for marketers, to blockchain transforming ecommerce as we know it.
Blockchain is building the reputation of disruptor, as at the recently concluded RampUp18 this transformative technology took center stage turning the page on yesterday’s advertising.
Mavatar Technologies, Inc. Co-Founder and CEO Susan Akbarpour explained "Blockchain promises to bring greater transparency to advertising, not simply scale the malfunctions and phony metrics that are dominating the space.”
Mavatar’s Akbarpour was joined by finder.com Co-Founder and CEO Fred Schebesta, Autonomous Partners Managing Director Arianna Simpson on the panel discussion “How blockchain can save programmatic and how it can’t.”
Moderated by TechCrunch Editor at Large Josh Constine, the conversation explored use cases in media and advertising, where blockchain can take the lead in an arena overdue for an overhaul.
“Blockchain is there to disrupt phony advertising metrics and attribution models, and remove bad actors and middlemen as well as excess fees from the landscape. Our goal should
be to make advertising much more consumer-centric and transparent for shoppers,
while also making it more secure and profitable for advertisers,” proclaimed Akbarpour.
Change is in the air. This Friday March 16, Mavatar will offer insight into industry disruption. Join the team at 2:00pm for the special event.
